Volunteering
Is one of the most important roles you can play at the RSPCA.

ASSETS (Animal Support and Special Events Team) Volunteers are crucial to the the RSPCA. Their vital contribution enables the RSPCA to extend its budget and continue to care for the thousands of animals that are surrendered or seized by the organisation each year.

Our 'Volunteers are ASSETS' program is based at the RSPCA Animal Welfare Centre in Malaga.

Become an ASSET

If you live in a regional area and would like to become a volunteer, please visit our Auxiliaries information page.

Volunteering for the RSPCA is a great way to meet like-minded people and to be involved with a group of individuals who share the same enthusiasm as you for animal welfare. Being a volunteer will enable you to gain new skills or develop existing ones and can provide you with an opportunity to make a real difference.

Volunteers have been involved with the RSPCA since its earliest years, working to support the Society in its work to improve the welfare of animals and protect them from neglect and cruelty.

Volunteers play a central role in all services that the RSPCA provides to both the animals in its care and to the community, through donating their time, energy and skills to help to advance the work of the Society.

Universal Declaration on Volunteering

Volunteering – either through individual or group action – is a way in which human values of community, caring, and serving can be sustained and strengthened; individuals can exercise their rights and responsibilities as members of communities, while learning and growing throughout their lives, realizing their full human potential so that we can live together in healthy, sustainable communities, working together to provide innovative solutions to our shared challenges.
